Fatal hit-and-run on Blvd.

Authorities are trying to identify a man who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run motorist on Roosevelt Boulevard early Sunday.

The victim was white and 25 to 30 years old. He had multiple tattoos on his left forearm and a tattoo of a clown on his right forearm, said Officer Jillian Russell, a Philadelphia police spokeswoman.

The accident occurred on the 7700 block of Roosevelt Blvd. at 2:26 a.m. The victim stepped from the east side of the highway into the northbound lanes and was struck by an unknown vehicle driven by an unidentified motorist, who fled the scene before police arrived.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have no description of the vehicle, which likely has driver’s side damage and a missing exterior mirror, Russell said. ••
