Man shot to death on Northwood street corner

Philadelphia homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man on a Northwood street corner on Sept. 10.

Police were called to the 4600 block of Horrocks St. at 11:36 p.m. and found the victim laying on the ground with multiple wounds of the torso, said Officer Jillian Russell, a police spokeswoman.

The victim was identified as Naeem Giles, 24, of the 4200 block of Salem St. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police department has released no descriptions of the alleged shooter or shooters. A motive is not known.

A police commander at the scene reportedly told the news media that video surveillance cameras may have filmed three men, who fled on foot northbound through an alley off of Horrocks Street. ••
