Video released in Northwood convenience store holdup

Authorities have released surveillance video of the Sept. 4 armed robbery of a Northwood convenience store in hope of identifying the three bandits.

The heist occurred at 6:40 p.m. at the Neighborhood Convenience Store, 1301 Fillmore St. Three robbers traveled to the scene in a Honda Civic and parked about a block away on Harrison Street.

The driver remained in the car as his two cohorts approached and entered the store. One of the robbers stood in the rear of the shop while the other pointed a gun at a clerk and demanded money and cigarettes.

The crooks obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and smokes, ran back to the getaway car and fled.

The gunman was described as black and 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He wore a dark hoodie and dark blue jeans. The lookout was described as black and 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 8. He wore a dark hoodie with an emblem on the front and light blue jeans. No description is available for the getaway driver.
