Peyton’s place is in your home

Peyton is a taupe-colored mutt with gorgeous hazel eyes who was surrendered by his owners because they couldn’t care for him any longer.

The dog is at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. His tag number is A16831206.

Peyton appears to be some kind of American pit bull terrier mix, but has long, slender legs and a thin frame. He is 1 to 2 years old and weighs 55 pounds.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

She’s a Smart Alex

Alex is an 18-month-old female cat in need of a home.

The cat is available for adoption at the Women’s Humane Society, at 3839 Richlieu Road in Bensalem. Her tag number is 2457.

Adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 1 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Majestic Mistica

Mistica is a cute 5-month-old tabby and white kitten who loves to play and get attention. Her half-tail that curls at the end makes her extra cute.

The cat is in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue. She is spayed and microchipped, current on vaccinations and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.

Nemo is an adorable 3-year-old, declawed orange and white tabby who is in foster care via Forgotten Cats.

The cat loves attention and pampering. He has to be the only cat in his house, but dogs are fine.

Nemo is neutered and vaccinated, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.
