Storm Sandy updates for Northeast Philly

As of 11 a.m., northbound outer lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard at Woodward Avenue are blocked by a fallen tree. Police are on the scene.

Rhawn Street is closed both ways between Cresco and Winchester. Rowland Avenue is closed between Ryan and Rhawn Street. Both road closings ae due to downed trees and power lines.

The traffic light at Grant and Academy avenues is out. Grant Avenue is blocked in both directions and traffic must turn onto Academy.

The boulevard’s southbound outer lanes at Faunce are still closed.

The water level at the Poquessing Creek near Grant Avenue right now is about two feet lower than it was yesterday afternoon.
