Officer Terrence Black has been named Officer of the Month for October in the 7th Police District.
Members of the 7th Police District Advisory Council recognized Black on Thursday during the group’s monthly meeting at CORA Services.
Black arrested a man suspected of pointing a loaded gun at two neighbors on Oct. 21. The incident occurred on the 8500 block of Verree Road. Black located the suspect in his first-floor apartment and took possession of his silver .45-caliber long Colt Derringer, which was loaded with two live rounds.
