An unidentified armed robber struck at a Fox Chase bank on Saturday, fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police and federal investigators say the man entered Vist Bank at 8000 Verree Road at about 12:55 p.m. and placed a small black handgun and empty bag on the counter while demanding cash from a teller. After obtaining the money, he ran fled on foot southbound on Verree Road.

He was described as white, in his late 30s or early 40s and 5 feet 9 inches tall. He wore a gray sweat suit, black knit cap, black sneakers and eyeglasses. Call 215–418–4000 to report information. ••
