A 50-year-old man died in a one-car accident on Roosevelt Boulevard in Bustleton early Monday.
The accident happened about 5 a.m. near the intersection of Tomlinson Road, said Officer Christine O’Brien, a Philadelphia police spokeswoman.
The victim was driving a 1994 Lincoln Continental southbound in the outer lanes when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree stump on a median strip. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene at 5:14 a.m. Police did not detail his injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Police withheld the man’s identity pending notification of a next of kin.
