Sonny Boy is a sweet, tiny Shih Tzu mix who is estimated to be 5 to 10 years old.
The dog weighs under 8 pounds and came to Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave., in a heartbreaking state of neglect. He’s on the mend and living in foster care with four other dogs.

Jade wants the limelight
Jade is a 1-year-old brown tabby who is looking for a home for the holidays.
The cat with the bright green eyes loves to be with people and wants to be the only pet in the family. She is in foster care via Forgotten Cats.
Jade is spayed and vaccinated, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.

Hop to Ashley
Ashley was found as a very young kitten on the streets. A lovely woman took him in and cared for him, but she is now ill and can no longer care for him.
The 17-month-old cat is now in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue and in search of a permanent home. He has a condition that makes him walk like his legs are stiff and he is marching.
Otherwise, he is a very sweet and happy cat, and he rabbit-hops around the house to play with the other cats. He does not require any special care except caution around stairs, due to his altered gait.
Ashley is neutered and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.
