Two men were found shot to death in the Northeast on Christmas Eve, police said.
Officers investigating a shooting report early Monday found a man fatally shot in the head in the rear of properties on the 7100 block of Whitaker Ave. in Burholme.
The victim is black and was found by officers at 12:12 a.m., said police spokeswoman Officer Christine O’Brien. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:26 a.m. Monday and his age and identity were unknown, she said, adding that police know of no motive for the shooting and have no suspects.
Another man was found on the 4600 block of Devereaux Ave. about 10 hours later.
The 46-year-old white man, who was not identified by police, was found at 10:23 a.m. and pronounced dead of a single gunshot wound to his chest at 10:43 a.m., O’Brien said.
Police have no suspects or motives in that slaying, O’Brien said.
