The Holme Circle Civic Association will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m., at St. Jerome school hall, at Stamford and Colfax streets.
The guest speaker will be Nancy Cherone, executive director at Nazareth Hospital. She’ll outline hospital services available to the community.
The group will also discuss the latest news on The Stella, a proposed 44-unit housing complex for low-income individuals. The property, at 2723 Holme Ave., is presently a convent.
Neighbors will also talk about the current status of the Northeast Community Center, which has been shut down since late November because of financial problems.
Members will have a vote on whether to pay for “Welcome to Holme Circle” signage at the traffic circle. The signage is part of the Holme Circle Beautification Project. ••
