Mayfair Civic Association will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m., at the Mayfair Community Center, at 2990 St. Vincent St.
Guests will include Lt. Collean Cook, of the 15th Police District; Chloe Tomlinson, nutrition coordinator at HIAS Pennsylvania; Laura McColgan, of philly.everyblock.com; and Noelle Dames, outreach coordinator for the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger.
Members will discuss issues including a proposed methadone clinic at Frankford Avenue and Decatur Street; the Shamrock Shuttle, a pre-St. Patrick’s Day celebration at bars along Frankford Avenue; the newly formed Mayfair Art Initiative; the Mayfair Farmers Market, which will return in April; the Easter egg hunt scheduled for Mayfair Memorial Playground; the annual Mayfair Business Association May Fair; and the fifth annual Mayfair Fallen Heroes Run, honoring slain police officer Chuck Cassidy. ••
