Federal and local authorities are trying to identify a man who robbed a Bustleton bank branch on Thursday morning.
The heist occurred at First Niagara Bank, 9869 Bustleton Ave., at about 10:50 a.m. After entering the bank, the robber approached a teller, indicated he had a gun and demanded money. The teller handed him an undisclosed amount of cash, then he fled on foot northbound through the bank parking lot.
The FBI described the robber as a black man, about 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and with a medium build. He wore a red Phillies baseball cap, a beige waist-length jacket, light colored blue jeans and a red shoulder bag. He is considered armed and dangerous.
