Police probe fatal shooting of teenager in Castor Gardens

Philadelphia police have not named a suspect or determined a motive in the fatal shooting of a Castor Gardens teenager about two blocks from his home last Thursday night.

Patrol officers went to the 1300 block of Greeby St. at 8:10 p.m. in response to reports of gunshots fired and a person with a gun, said Officer Christine O’Brien, a police department spokeswoman. They found 19-year-old Antonio Patton-Davis, of the 1400 block of Magee Ave., lying on the sidewalk with a wound to the head.

Paramedics pronounced Patton-Davis dead at the scene at 8:17 p.m.

No further information has been released about the investigation, which is ongoing. ••
