For the third time this year, Mayor Michael Nutter has backed out of a speaking engagement with the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
Nutter was scheduled to address the business group on Jan. 24 and March 21, but had conflicts both times.
The latest date was Tuesday, June 4, but the mayor postponed again.
This time, the Chamber has a pinch-hitter, Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey.
The event will take place at Knowlton Mansion, at Rhawn Street and Verree Road in Fox Chase. Registration and networking begin at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon starts at noon.
