Welsh Road bank robbed

Surveillance image of the suspect

The Philadelphia office of the FBI is still trying to identify a man who attempted to rob a Bank of America branch in the Northeast on May 24 and has released new images of the wanted man.

The crime occurred at about 11:35 a.m. at 2439 Welsh Road. The robber was described as white, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and thin. He had a blond mustache, goatee beard and tattoos on his neck. One of the neck tattoos depicted the words, “The Love,” followed by undetermined wording, the FBI said.

The same man is a suspect in the May 18 robbery of Citizens Bank at 2702 Kirkbride St. in Bridesburg. The Northeast Times published photos of the suspect in May 29 editions. Call the FBI at 215–418–4000 to report information about the case. ••
