Two unidentified teenagers slipped into a Northeast school bus depot and smashed windows on 31 of the bright yellow buses, police say.
The vandalism occurred between 6 and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at 3801 Woodhaven Road, the site of the former Shallcross School. According to a Philadelphia police spokeswoman, two white boys, each about 15 years old, got into the lot through unlocked gates and shattered windshields and side windows on the public school buses. They also ripped windshield wipers from the vehicles.
The cost of the damage is still being calculated. Call Northeast Detectives at 215–686–3153 to report information about the case. ••
