Suspect sought in Wawa robbery

Suspect in Wawa robbery case captured in surveillance video.

Police hope that a surveillance video of a June 13 armed robbery at a Wissinoming convenience store will help them identify the perpetrator.

The crime occurred at 3:44 a.m. at the Wawa at 6101 Harbison Ave. The robber entered the store and waited for a cashier to finish serving a customer. He then pulled out a knife, went behind the cashier’s counter and took $300 from the register before fleeing on foot.

He was last seen running northbound on Harbison Avenue.

The suspect is black, 20 to 30 years old and about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He wore a blue hooded sweatshirt with the Nike logo on the front and black shorts.

Visit the Philadelphia Police channel on YouTube.com to view the surveillance video. Call 215–686-TIPS or text to PPD TIP to report information about the case. ••
