Surveillance image of the suspect
Police have released surveillance video of the July 2 robbery of a Bustleton convenience store in the hope of identifying the culprit.
The crime occurred at about 2 a.m. at Wawa, 8900 Krewstown Road, when the robber entered the store, asked a clerk for a pack of cigarettes, then demanded money from the register. The bandit threatened the employee by placing his hand inside a blue bag and motioning as if he were holding a weapon.
The clerk gave an undisclosed amount of cash to the robber, who was last seen fleeing west on Bloomfield Avenue. It is not known if he used a vehicle.
He was described as white, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, 20 to 30 years old, and wearing a brown T-shirt, dark cargo shorts, blue and white sneakers and a white baseball cap with black lettering on the front.
