Fore!: Golfers get ready to compete during last year’s Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing.
The 91st annual Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing will take place on Friday, Sept. 6, at Torresdale-Frankford Country Club, at 3801 Grant Ave. (at Frankford Avenue). PECO Energy is the lead sponsor. The cost is $225 per golfer or $900 for a foursome. Dinner-only guests pay $50.
Advertising, hole and prize sponsorship opportunities are available. A sports memorabilia silent auction will be conducted. Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by a barbecue-style buffet lunch from 11 a.m. to noon. There will be a shotgun start at 12:15 p.m. Participants can also enter a straightest drive contest.
Following golf, there will be an open bar from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. The day will close with a dinner buffet and awards ceremony from 5:45 to 7 p.m. Former Flyers player and broadcaster Bill Clement will speak at the dinner.
“It’s a great coming together of people and business,” said Al Taubenberger, president of the Chamber.
