NE men nabbed in prostitution sting

Two Northeast Philadelphia “Johns” and two from Port Richmond were among six men locked up by Philadelphia police last Wednesday in a prostitution sting on Kensington Avenue.

Officers from the Citywide Vice Unit posed as hookers working the notorious thoroughfare in the 24th Police District, from Erie Avenue to Lehigh Avenue. Six men allegedly solicited the undercover cops for sex.

The defendants include Trinidad Tapia, 19, of the 5100 block of F St. in Feltonville; Efrain Viveos, 32, of the 3100 block of Frankford Ave. in Kensington; Manuel Cumbe, 43, of the 4500 block of Ditman St. in Frankford; Shukhrat Ergasahov, 20, of the 9500 block of Evans St. in Bustleton; Mars Alim, 23, of the 3000 block of Richmond St. in Port Richmond; and Knuetelski Wildemir, 41, of the 3300 block of Livingston St. in Port Richmond.

All were charged with patronizing prostitution. Police confiscated $778 cash and four vehicles from them. ••
