Woman robbed at bank deposit slot

Police are trying to identify a robber who held up a woman making a night deposit at a Rhawnhurst bank on Sept. 17.

The crime occurred at Wells Fargo at 7400 Bustleton Ave. at about 7:54 p.m., police said. Surveillance video from the bank shows the 40-year-old victim approaching the night deposit slot with a bank bag, followed by a man approaching an ATM positioned next to the deposit slot. At first, the suspect appeared as if he was going to make a withdrawal, but he then grabbed the victim’s bank bag and ran to the parking lot of a nearby Sears store, where he entered a vehicle, possibly a Chrysler Sebring, driven by another person and fled the area.
