Armed robbers sought in 7-Eleven heist

Police seek the public’s help in identifying two masked men who robbed a 7-Eleven in the Holme Circle area early last Friday.

The bandits burst into the store at 2981 Welsh Road at 4:30 a.m. and announced a robbery, police said. One of the crooks pointed a handgun at a clerk and ordered him to open the cash register. The gunman then beat the clerk, tied him up and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register as well as cigarettes. Both bandits fled the store and ran northbound on Welsh Road, police said.

Both robbers were described as white and 20 years old. One is about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a mask covering his face. The other robber is about 6 feet 1 inch tall with a heavy build. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and a mask covering his face.
