The Mayfair Business Association will present the 37th annual Mayfair-Holmesburg Thanksgiving Parade on Sunday, Nov. 24, along Frankford Avenue. The parade will start at noon at Rhawn Street. It will proceed south to Knorr Street. The performing area will be at Tudor Street.
The theme will be Dressed for Success. The grand marshals will be Domenico and Angie Maglio, of Domenico Formal Wear and Dress Up Time.
The rain date is Dec. 1.
The parade will include marching bands, antique and classic cars, cheerleaders and appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus.

In other neighborhood news, three winners were announced in the first Mayfair Halloween Decoration Contest.
Winners of the “most boo-tiful houses in Mayfair” were the Kennedy family, of the 3500 block of Oakmont St.; the Rosen family, of the 3100 block of St. Vincent St.; and the Buszka family, of the 3200 block of Friendship St.
Donating prizes were Torresdale Flower Shop, Aztec Signs, Mayfair Shop n Bag, Grey Lodge Pub, RE/MAX Eastern Realtor Maria Zimmerman, Malibu Beach Tanning Salon, Viriva Community Credit Union, Mike Perzel Insurance Agency and BellaLisa Hair Studio.
The winners were visited by Mayfair Civic Association president Donny Smith, vice president Kevin Leonard and contest judges.
Next up is the Mayfair Christmas Decoration Contest. Also, the business association will hold its annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 8, outside Republic Bank, at 7300 Frankford Ave. The Mayfair Business Association will meet again on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. at Republic Bank. ••
