Blessed Trinity Regional Catholic School, 3033 Levick St. in Lower Mayfair, was honored last week as a winner of an art contest sponsored by Philadelphia Federal Credit Union. The prizes included $250 for a classroom to spend on school supplies. PFCU’s mascot, Moola Moola, and personal finance expert Dominique Jenkins surprised the winners on the morning of Dec. 3. This fall, PFCU partnered with Philadelphia-area private and public schools to hold the second annual art competition designed to teach third- to fifth-grade students the importance of saving money at a young age. Hundreds of young artists submitted entries, and thousands of Philadelphians voted for the winners on the credit union’s Facebook page. The other winning school was St. Francis de Sales in West Philadelphia.
