Police are trying to identify two men who were involved in the gunpoint robbery of a convenience store in Wissinoming on Dec. 3.
Surveillance cameras filmed the entire heist, which occurred at the Country Farm store, 6301 Torresdale Ave. The lead robber entered the store at about 6:58 p.m. as employees were closing the business for the night. The crook did not immediately announce a robbery. Instead, he approached a cashier and indicated that he wanted to buy something.
The lead robber then exited the store, only to return a few moments later with a second robber, who had a silver revolver in his hand. The crooks forced two employees to the floor and stole an unspecified amount of cash from the register, along with a cell phone. They ran west on Levick Street.
Police described the lead robber as white or Hispanic, about 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 180 pounds. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt over a black hooded sweatshirt along with blue jeans, tan boots and gloves. The gunman was described as black, about 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 230 pounds. He wore a black jacket over a white hooded sweatshirt and gloves.
