Max needs a new friend

Max is a peppy 15-year-old chihuahua who was surrendered to Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control when his owner developed cancer. His tag number is A21157204.

The superb senior is very healthy for his age and is eating prescription diet wet food. He loves being held, cuddling, belly rubs and checking out the neighborhood and meeting other dogs on walks.

Max can live with chill cats and other dogs. He has a touch of separation anxiety, and would love a home where someone is with him a lot. He is mostly house-trained and happily wears a little diaper band in the house.

Spotti is a sweetheart

Spotti is a 1-year-old Oreo kitty who is very playful and social. He is in foster care at the shelter at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control.

Spotti coos like a dove and is great with other cats.

Laverne and Shirley are a perfect pair

Laverne and Shirley are beautiful calico sisters who are about 3½ years old. They are in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue.

Laverne is talkative, playful and energetic. Shirley is quiet and reserved. They both love toys, lying in sunny windows and getting and giving attention.

The sisters share a special bond, and must be adopted together. They are spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.
