Slugo loves to play all day
Slugo is a medium-sized male pit bull terrier mix who was found as a stray, strolling the streets with a buddy who looks just like him, so chances are they were brothers of the same household at one time.
The dog is about 1 or 2 years old and in the care of Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. His tag number is A20569118.
Slugo loves attention and meeting new friends. He would do well with a playmate, even his buddy Slugger, who is also at the shelter.
Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••
Happy Boy is nothing but smiles
Happy Boy is a young adult tuxedo boy who was rescued from the cold streets of Philadelphia. He is in foster care via Forgotten Cats.
A people’s cat, he craves loves and is a real lap snuggler. The big guy prefers to be the only pet in a home so he can shower his family with affection.
Happy Boy is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.

Fantastic four
Felicia, Gino, Mathew and Yasmine are playful and adventurous kittens who will steal your heart.
The 10-month-old kittens are in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue.
Felicia and Gino are shy and reserved, while Mathew and Yasmine are super affectionate. They love to play with catnip toys, climb their tall scratching towers and watch the goings-on outside from the back of the couch. They are healthy and beautiful and ready for permanent homes.
The kittens are spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.
