The Filipino Executive Council of Greater Philadelphia, in partnership with Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 and the Philadelphia Police Department, will host a fundraiser for typhoon relief in the Philippines on Sunday, Jan. 26, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the FOP’s Heroes Ballroom, 11630 Caroline Road.
The $30 admission charge includes a buffet, draft beer and musical entertainment, with special performances by Hector Serrano and the Fuego and Caliente Dance Company.
This event is part of a continuing effort to support the victims of Typhoon Haiyan, which struck the Philippines on Nov. 8, killing at least 6,200 people there. Proceeds will go to victims through Catholic Relief Services.
