The FBI seeks the public’s help in identifying the culprits in two unrelated bank robberies in the Northeast.

At about 1:15 p.m. last Thursday, a man in a red jacket and striped ski cap entered the M&T Bank at 9375 Bustleton Ave. in Bustleton, handed a threatening note to a teller and demanded money. The teller surrendered an undisclosed amount of cash to the robber, who fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Authorities described the crook as white, in his 40s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and thin. He appeared to have long gray hair, but may have been wearing a wig. In addition to the red jacket and knit hat, which was predominately red, he wore sunglasses and blue jeans.

On Monday at about 11:15 a.m., a man in a blue hoodie and black vest entered the TD Bank at 6635 Frankford Ave. in Mayfair, claimed he had an explosive device inside a paper bag and demanded money from a teller. He fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, leaving the paper bag behind. There was no explosive device.

The robber was described as black, in his late 30s or early 40s, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 230 to 250 pounds. He has a dark complexion and had a full beard. He wore a blue hooded sweatshirt, a black vest and dark winter cap.
