A Bustleton homeowner’s investment in surveillance cameras may pay off big time as police have recovered extensive video of a recent burglary of the property.
The crime occurred on March 2 on the 9700 block of Glenhope Road. At about 4:20 a.m., an unknown man approached the front door and knocked. When no one answered, the man walked to the rear of the home and used a tool to pry open the rear door. Video cameras recorded the burglar at both doors.
Once inside, the crook stole a PlayStation, gold chain, rings, watches and $160 cash, police said. He fled on foot northbound on Glenhope Road.
The burglar was described as white with a green hooded coat and a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath. He also wore blue jeans. Visit the Philadelphia Police channel on YouTube.com to view the surveillance video. Call 215–686-TIPS or text to PPDTIP to report information. ••
