A Lower Northeast Dunkin’ Donuts was the scene of a second robbery in less than a month on Feb. 19. Police are still trying to identify the two masked gunmen.
In the most recent incident, the bandits burst into the shop at about 7:35 p.m., went behind the cashier’s counter, pointed a gun at a lone employee and demanded cash. The clerk placed an unspecified amount of money into a black bag, which the crooks took before fleeing from a rear door in an unknown direction. A similar crime occurred there on Jan. 21 at 2:13 p.m.
One robber was described as black, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 230 pounds with a black hoodie, cargo pants, gray gloves, a white dust mask on his face and a handgun. The other crook was described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 210 pounds with a black sweater and black ski mask.
