Junior Night offers college info

The Father Judge and St. Hubert high school guidance departments will host a Junior Night on Wednesday, April 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the auditorium of Judge, at Rowland and Solly avenues.

A panel of college admissions officers will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. Anyone is welcome, but all 11th-grade students and their parents are encouraged to attend.

There will be guest speakers from La Salle University, Holy Family University and Community College of Philadelphia. ••

‘Broadway Sings’ on stage Sunday

Congregations of Shaare Shamayim, at 9768 Verree Road, will host Broadway Sings on Sunday, April 6, at 3:30 p.m. The professional concert production company features stars of the Broadway and national touring companies of hit Broadway shows.

Reserved tickets cost $36 and $54. For $118, guests receive front seating and admittance to a cocktail reception with the cast. Students under 18 pay $25. To order tickets, call 215–677–1600. ••

Award-winning show in Fox Chase

The Actors’ Group, in association with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, will continue its 18th anniversary season by presenting Schoolhouse Rock Live! on April 4, 5, 11 and 12 at Fox Chase Elementary School, Rhawn and Ridgeway streets.

A pop culture phenomenon comes to the musical stage in the form of the Emmy Award-winning 1970s series of animated TV shorts that taught young viewers history, grammar, math, science and many more lessons through clever, catchy songs.

Musical numbers include familiar tunes Just a Bill, Interjections, Conjunction Junction and Lolly, Lolly, Lolly.

The two-act show features 21 actors ages 7 to 14 from the surrounding community. Tickets are available at the door and cost $9 for adults and $6 for children. Call 215–742–7753 or email to [email protected]. ••
