Walk benefits adult cancer patients

For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation invites adults, children and teams to join the For Pete’s Sake Walk at Citizens Bank Park on Sunday, April 27. This three-mile fun walk will raise funds to provide vacations to adult cancer patients and their loved ones. These respites enable them to take a break from cancer and strengthen, deepen and unify their relationships.

Walkers will traverse the Citizens Bank Park concourse as they celebrate the beauty of relationships in their lives and the strength of those who battle cancer. After a few laps, walkers will round the bases on the Phillies’ field, cross home plate and have pictures taken in the dugout. Check in begins at 9 a.m. and walking at 10:30.

Entry fees are $30 for adults and children 12 and older, $10 for children 5 to 11 and free for children 4 and under. Visit takeabreakfromcancer.org to start a team and pre-register. Fundraising incentive prizes will be awarded. ••
