Saladworks will be the finish line sponsor for the Susan G. Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure, taking place on Mother’s Day, May 11, in Center City.
The Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure, entering its 24th year, will have about 35,000 registered participants and 100,000 overall race-goers.
Saladworks’ sponsorship will go to fund the finish line, various speaking engagements and smaller event features such as the Kids Dash and Race-Day Survivors & Sponsors Breakfast, held on the day of the race.
“We are incredibly excited to support Komen Philadelphia’s Race for the Cure, an event that has touched the lives of so many people over the years,” said Paul Steck, president of Saladworks. “This is a tremendous opportunity for us to give back to the community that has supported us and allowed us to grow into the household name we have become.”
In previous years, the Race has raised an average of $3.2 million to support breast cancer education, awareness, early detection, treatment and survivor support programs in Komen Philadelphia’s service area, as well as research.
