A bathtub drowning of a 10-year-old Mayfair boy on April 16 was an accident, according to police.
The tragedy occurred inside a rowhouse on the 3100 block of Magee Ave. at about 11:20 a.m. The boy’s grandmother discovered him face down and unconscious in the tub and called 911, police said. Paramedics took the boy to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where he was pronounced dead at about 12:15 p.m. His identity has not been released publicly.
No criminal charges have been filed in connection with the death. ••
