The Philadelphia Police Explorer Cadet Program meets every Saturday at the Philadelphia Police Academy, at 8501 State Road.
The cadets are males and females ages 14–20 who have an interest in a career in law enforcement.
The program is directed by Cpl. Bryan Coyle, a former explorer.
Senior Cadet Lt. Zachary Merschen was recently named Explorer of the Year.
