Red is a happy boy who was brought to Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave., by a good Samaritan who saw he wasn’t being treated well. His tag number is A22785025.

The young boy has a cool coloring of light brown brindle. He likes to snuggle with kids. He knows commands such as “sit” and “down,” and comes when he is called. He is house trained and likes playing with other dogs.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Jackson loves to play

Jackson loves hanging out with people, chasing toy mice and a jingle ball, and getting ear scratches. He is in foster care via Northeast Animal Rescue.

The sweet, affectionate, 1-year-old cat loves attention from people, but does not get along well with other pets.

Jackson is neutered and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.

Beautiful Betsy needs a home

Betsy is an adorable, sweet 5-year-old tabby who was saved minutes away from euthanasia. She is in foster care via Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control.

She needs to be the only kitty in a home, but friendly dogs are fine as long as they give her space.

Betsy is gentle, and loves warm hugs and snuggles. She is spayed, vetted and microchipped.

For more information, contact her foster parent at GDeNofa@aol.com.

Betsy has a music video on YouTube titled “ACCT Foster: don’t let Betsy fall.” The link is http://youtu.be/5UgbIsVKKCo
