Tires slashed in Holmesburg

Surveillance photo

A new tire slasher is on the loose in the Northeast, according to Philadelphia police.

Surveillance cameras filmed the vandal as he roamed the area of Erdrick and Frost streets in Holmesburg on May 29, apparently using an object to punch holes in the tires of several vehicles. According to police, he targeted one parked vehicle on Decatur Street before slashing several more tires on the 4200 block of Frost St., just east of Frankford Avenue. He was last seen walking on Frost toward Erdrick.

The vandal was described as white, in his teens or early 20s, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 160 pounds with a blue T-shirt and dark pants. Visit the Philadelphia Police channel on YouTube.com to view the surveillance video. Call 215–686-TIPS or text to PPDTIP to report information. ••
