Woman shot in Bustleton

A woman with pink hair and her red-bearded companion ambushed a 23-year-old woman in a parked van outside a Bustleton apartment complex on June 18, shooting the victim five times.

The attackers remain at large, according to police. The shooting occurred at about 3 p.m. on the 9900 block of Haldeman Ave. Police learned of the violence when a man drove the victim to the 7th district station. Officers took her to Aria Health-Torresdale in critical condition. She reportedly had wounds of the chin, neck, left arm, left thigh and abdomen.

Authorities have not released the identity of the victim, who reportedly was visiting friends at a nearby apartment. A motive for the attack is unknown.

The woman shooter was described as heavy-set with pink hair, while the man was described as thin with a red beard and black baseball cap. They were last seen on foot northbound on Haldeman. ••
