Troopers arrest 35 for DUI over holiday

During the Independence Day holiday weekend, Pennsylvania State Police arrested 35 people for driving while under the influence and issued 932 traffic citations on highways in Philadelphia, Delaware and Montgomery counties.

There were 78 vehicle crashes that resulted in 14 injuries, but no fatalities during the enforcement period, which began on July 3 and ended on July 6. Among the 932 citations issued, 315 were for speeding and 34 for seatbelt or child seat violations. ••
