Detectives are trying to identify two men and a woman who stole $180 cash, identification and a medical benefits card from the unsuspecting victim, who didn’t seem to notice her missing purse until the thieves had exited the restaurant and fled together in a gray sedan.

The crime occurred at about 4:16 p.m. at 2550 Welsh Road, just east of Roosevelt Boulevard. According to police, the victim was standing at the front counter of the restaurant when a man bumped into her and a second man grabbed her purse while concealing it with a food tray. A woman who had entered the restaurant with the men had also been crowding the victim when the theft occurred. Surveillance cameras recorded the crime on video.

One thief was described as a black man, 6 feet tall, with a blue shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. The second thief was described as a black man, 6 feet 1 inch tall, with a black shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. The woman suspect was described as black, 5 feet 4 inches tall, wearing a white sleeveless top with a floral pattern and jeans skirt. She has a tattoo on her left shoulder. The three were seen leaving the area in a four-door gray sedan.
