East Torresdale Wawa robbed at knifepoint

A masked, knife-wielding man robbed an East Torresdale convenience store and made off with up to $400 cash early Sunday, according to 6ABC.

The heist occurred at about 3 a.m. at Wawa on the 9400 block of State Road, the news station reported, citing a police source. The crook entered the store, pointed a knife at a clerk and demanded money. He fled in an unknown direction.

The robber was described as black, 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a hooded sweatshirt, a ski mask, a ski hat, gloves and pink sunglasses. Call 215–686-TIPS or text to PPD TIP to report information. ••
