Thief steals snow blower from local business

Surveillance photo

There was no Christmas in July this year, but a Wissinoming burglar was prepared in case a winter storm descended upon the Northeast. The unknown thief stole a snow blower from a local business, Philadelphia police say.

The break-in occurred on July 19 at about midnight at Access Home Care, 5525 Harbison Ave., when a man entered the property through the front door, ransacked the place and, finding nothing of value, headed for the rear exit. On his way out the door, he grabbed a snow blower and fled in an unknown direction.

Police described the crook as white, 20 to 25 years old, with a medium build, light hair, thin beard, a dark T-shirt and dark shorts. View surveillance video of the burglary on the Philadelphia Police channel at YouTube.com. Call 215–686-TIPS or text to PPD TIP to report information. ••
