Surveillance videos released in Frankford armed robbery

Police have released surveillance video of a gunpoint robbery that occurred on a Frankford street on July 14.

The sick-up occurred at about 12:04 p.m. when the victim, a 32-year-old man, was standing on the 4600 block of Duffield St. holding a plastic bag of money and waiting for a friend, said police, who did not disclose the amount of cash involved. Two unknown men approached the victim and pointed handguns at him. After obtaining the cash, the robbers fled on foot southbound on Duffield St. No injuries were reported.

One robber was described as black, 28 to 32 years old, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 200 pounds with a light complexion, a full beard, a white t-shirt and blue jeans. The second robber was described as black, 28 to 35 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 185 pounds with a darker complexion, clean shaven face, a red, tan and blue baseball cap, a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
