A Northeast man was killed in a shooting last Friday in West Philadelphia, reportedly after an argument outside a Chinese restaurant.
The gunfire erupted at about 11:30 p.m. on the 1600 block of N. 55th St., police said. Officers found Paul McKernan, 27, of the 3200 block of Magee Ave. in Mayfair, with a gunshot wound of the left side of his neck. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and pronounced dead just before midnight.
NBC10 reported that an argument sparked the shooting, but police said they have no suspects or a known motive. The news agency said that McKernan worked as an electrician, citing information from a relative. ••
