Tire slashings reported in Frankford

Vandals punctured tires on at least a half-dozen parked cars in Frankford on Aug. 13.

A resident discovered damage to his vehicle on the 5800 block of Akron St. as he left home for work at about 5:30 a.m., police said. Five other area residents similarly reported that their tires had been slashed during the previous night. At least one woman told CBSPhilly that all four of her tires had been flattened. Police believe the total cost of damage to all vehicles amounted to about $1,100. ••
