Police have released surveillance video of a man and woman who allegedly tried to break into a house in Castor Gardens on Sept. 5.
The homeowner, a 47-year-old man, told police that he was walking in his rear driveway on the 6500 block of Bradford Terrace when he saw an unknown man holding a crowbar accompanied by an unknown woman. The homeowner approached his backdoor, which was locked, and saw that there were marks on it consistent with someone having tried to pry it open to gain entry.
Surveillance video from the area shows the male suspect as he used the crowbar attempting to pry open the door. Meanwhile, the woman suspect stood at a side rear door to the same house. After failing to gain entry, the would-be burglars walked southward through the driveway.
One suspect was described as a black man, in his late teens or early 20s, with a medium build, wearing a gray hat, white shirt, gray pants, red shoes and carrying a backpack. The other suspect was described as a black woman, in her late teens or early 20s, wearing a pink hair wrap, blue shirt, white pants with a floral print and carrying a backpack.
