The process to apply for enrollment at Swenson Arts and Technology High School, 2750 Red Lion Road, begins on Oct. 17.
The School District of Philadelphia’s High School application process will be online only and will be available on the school district website Oct. 17 to Dec. 12.
District students will be able to access the application through the Parent/Student online portal by entering their student ID and password. Non-district students will be able to access the application through a link on the main page of the school district’s website.
Swenson offers 11 career and technical education programs of study designed to give students the technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in specific occupations.
The programs are comprised of academic and technical courses that develop the skills necessary to succeed in college or the high-priority fields of today’s job market. Successful completion of a program includes 1,080 hours of career and technical instruction in the chosen field; an end-of-program assessment; and attainment of industry-recognized certifications.
Swenson representatives will be at the High School Expo on Friday, Oct. 17 (3–7 p.m.), and Saturday, Oct. 18 (9 a.m.-3 p.m.), at the Armory at Drexel University, 33rd and Market streets.
