Corbett is right, Wolf is wrong on death penalty
As a retired Philadelphia police officer, safety remains a major concern and requires those elected to office to be of a caliber that protects both the public and those who serve to protect.
On Oct. 6, Gov. Tom Corbett signed a death warrant for the murderer of Newtown, Bucks County Police Officer Brian Gregg.
Previously, Gov Corbett signed a death warrant for the murderer of Philadelphia Police Officer Chuck Cassidy.
In a Corbett/Tom Wolf debate, Gov Corbett was asked the reasoning for signing. He stated that he is committed to upholding the law. Tom Wolf, on the other hand, wants a study, and promised to issue a moratorium on executions. Yet another liberal study.
Too bad the “study” will not return Officers Gregg, Cassidy and all who have made the ultimate sacrifice to their families. What Mr. Wolf does not understand is that when anyone points a gun at a police officer, the barrel is pointed at all of society.
By his statement, Tom Wolf would not have the backs of police officers. I urge fellow law enforcement, their families and friends to join me in voting for the man who has our back…please vote for TOM CORBETT. Stay Safe.
